Fedora 11 has come out and I have updated my Fedora boxes.
To upgrade Fedora 10 to Fedora 11:
- Fedora 10 must be updated with the latest F10 update version of rpm.
rpm -Uvh http://mirrors.kernel.org/fedora/releases/11/Fedora/x86_64/os/Packages/fedora-release-11-1.noarch.rpm http://mirrors.kernel.org/fedora/releases/11/Fedora/x86_64/os/Packages/fedora-release-notes-11.0.0-2.fc11.noarch.rpm
- Since Fedora 10’s yum does not understand the new mirror list format you will need to change “/etc/yum.repos.d/fedora.repo” and “/etc/yum.repost.d/fedora-updates.repo” changing the mirror list to be “mirrorlist=https://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/mirrorlist?repo=fedora-$releasever&arch=$basearch” (work around from https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-list/2009-June/msg00783.html
- yum clean all; yum upgrade
I had to remove a few packages to get it to upgrade:
sos, preupgrade, pure-ftpd, ntp, kdegraphics, PyQT4
I reinstalled pure-ftpd and ntp after upgrading, appears to work ok.
